Many people desire to be successful in life and Nigerian-born Christopher A. Okiebunor was no exception. At the tender age of 11 years old, he recalls knowing that there was "something greater on the inside that needed to be discovered. In 1980, that journey began with only $250 and a passport from Africa to America.

He made his home in Jackson, Mississippi, where he had to utilize public assistance to make a living. Despite his circumstances, Chris obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Electronics at Jackson State University. He furthered that commitment and completed his Masters Degree in Electronics and Engineering. Although he made these early accomplishments, he still believed that there was more to explore.

Chris remembered as a child his love for cleaning. He would wash dishes after dining with his family and clean up around the house almost daily without a thought. His undying drive to clean inspired Chris to begin Chris Cleaning Company in 1983.The cleaning company was developed and prospered in Jackson and expanded to two other major cities.

The business continued and another entrepreneurial opportunity came as Chris opened the Oak Home Quality Furniture business in 1985. It lasted for three years. He also extended his interest in cleaning by opening the Chris Chemical Company from 1988 to 1999. As the cleaning business blossomed, Chris relocated to Jacksonville, Florida and the idea of a cleaning school was birthed. In 1991, he established The Professional School of Cleaning and Maintenance Skills (P.S.C.M.S.), the first cleaning school in the United States fully approved by The State Board of Education.

Chris recognized the demand for cleaning from every aspect of life so the school was designed to enhance the knowledge of students about cleaning. Both the school and the cleaning company required much attention and as a result, Chris had to make a choice between the two businesses and the school was closed in 1996. He, however, remained diligent in sharing with others the importance of an individual knowing how to pursue their God-given talents.

Not only was C.C.C. growing and a signature of success for Chris, but he shared his love for helping others find their gift. He would visit the jails, homeless shelters and minister in churches to impart his experiences and the message of hope. His favorite scripture became Philippians 4:13, which proclaims "I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me."

Today, Chris Cleaning Company has grown to employ individuals who now share responsibility as sub-contractors of the several stores, buildings, law offices and restaurants cleaned by the cleaning mogul. Chris is rewarded by the results of hard work and a determination to utilize the talents that God has given him.

Personal success and positive results have also motivated Chris to further market what he has learned and experienced. His latest venture is to do just that by means of various media productions including video/audio recordings and publications. With a strong conviction in motivating others and an interest in people learning the keys to success, Chris formed Christian Motivational Productions. The theme is "Motivating the Nation through the Word", which lets potential clients know that the companies products are marketed nationwide and in other countries.

The first project that was produced was a video of local pastors that share what success is from a Godly standpoint. Their ministries are shown as the pastors elaborate on their experiences through interviews and sermons. The videos are produced and packaged by C.M.P.

Success does not just happen but requires hard work and a determined mind and spirit. Chris Okiebunor knows best and continues to show everyone that he meets that they can become successful as well. There are two points in this publication that will be illustrated to anyone that knows that God has given them a talent to utilize, but they don't know how to start. The first is to start with an interest and the second is to select something that is in need and in demand. There are also two main focus points that an individual should always keep in mind to remain successful. First, serve God and second, work to provide for your family. These are some of the tips that Chris discusses in the next few pages.

Finally, a vital point that Chris believes is stressing the importance of breaking the dependent cycle. After his experience on the welfare system, he will talk about the need to not become satisfied on the system, but work hard toward what you were born to do. He also believes that paying the tithe played a major role in his success. Only until an individual reaches that goal will the blessings of the Lord overtake them. Chris also is convinced that the goal of reaching ones potential in their God-given talent is a must and that they owe it to God and the world to fulfill their destiny.

Chris's highest desire is to inspire as many people to be all that God wants them to be. Unfortunately, many people remain in one state of living for 20, or even 40 or 50 years because they fail to gain an understanding of their potential gift in the world.

However, by motivating individuals that will be open to hear how they can be changed forever. As this information is read, individuals will be amazed at the heights they can reach and the lives they can touch as well, just as Chris Okiebunor has done and still strives to do. If one soul can be won to Jesus Christ, freed or simply encouraged to go forth with what God has given them to do, Chris believes his labor will not be done in vain with the Lord.

Christian Businessman Christopher A. Okeibunot was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He began his career at an early age", and sponsored himself to come to America. At the age of 29, he was a graduate of Jackson State University with a B.A. degree in electronics and was a self-made entrepreneur.

Chris opened the Professional School of Cleaning and Maintenance Skills to enhance the knowledge of people everywhere about cleaning and to give them the know-how of starting their own business.

Success doesn't just happen! Success is the result of a plan which is made and followed. Unfortunately, too many people have been led to believe that all they need for a successful and happy future is a certificate, diploma or degree. This belief has resulted in disappointment for thousands of capable people.

Many of these people have spent years of their time and thousands of dollars on an education only to find that, regardless of how qualified they are, there is no demand for their services in the field for which they had been trained!

In planning your future, start with interest. If you are interested in something, you will enjoy learning about it today and doing it tomorrow. Next, from within your sphere of interests, select something that is needed or in demand. Ensure that the growth potential in the field that you select will meet your expectations. An ambitious person, properly trained, does not want to stagnate, but to progress.
